Painted ceilings and fixtures can add a tremendous amount of comfort and elegance to an ordinary room. When considering which style or effect to add to your room, you need to think about the overall result you want to accomplish. Do you want the room to appear larger, more airy, spacious, or tall? Do you want to make the room more cozy, or more intimate feeling? Different effects can make a small room appear spacious and can make a very large and cold room feel warm, inviting, and cozy.

As with any type of home decorating, there are always exceptions, personal preference and style that need to be considered.
